King Albert Park MRT Station is a modern underground MRT station found on the Downtown Line (DTL) in populous area Bukit Timah in Singapore. With its location being the western end of the Bukit Timah Road, this MRT station offers services to privately owned residential estates along the corridor of Bukit Timah. The station is meters away from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the Bukit Timah railway station. Its name was derived from the estate name and road passing through the estate in the vicinity with the same name. It was previously known as Blackmore.
King Albert Park MRT Station
In future, King Albert Park MRT Station is expected to be interchanging with Cross Island Line which is not yet developed. It was announced that there is the possibility of construction of the new MRT line labeled Cross Island Line which will be interchanging with the King Albert Park MRT Station. The new Mayfair Gardens by Oxley Holdings is located near to King Albert Park MRT Station.
The estimated 50km rail is expected to stretch between Jurong and change. It’s believed that it will pass through many towns such as Loyang, Hougang, Pasir Ris, Mo Kio as well as Bukit Timah, Clementi and West coast among others. This line is expected to have an interchange with the current radial lines among them including King Albert Park MRT Station.
